New Moon Reset: From Overthinking to Embodiment
Clear the clutter. Come back to your body. Create space for what matters.
There are moments in the year that naturally invite us to begin again, not by dramatically reinventing ourselves, but by making small, conscious changes that bring us back into balance.
This New Moon offers exactly that kind of pause.
As summer softens into autumn and many of us return to familiar routines, we're invited to notice what is working, what feels unnecessarily complicated, and what our bodies and minds are asking for now.
The invitation is simple:
Less overwhelm.
More presence.
Less perfection.
More intention.
Less living in our heads.
More connection with our bodies and nature.
Small Changes Can Create Big Shifts
This New Moon in Virgo carries a beautiful energy for restoring order, physically, mentally and emotionally.
Rather than setting ourselves an exhausting list of goals, perhaps this is a time to ask:
What one thing could I change that would make everyday life feel better?
It might be going to bed earlier. Returning to a weekly yoga or Pilates class. Booking the massage you keep postponing. Spending less time scrolling. Drinking more water. Walking outside each morning. Creating ten quiet minutes before the day begins.
Wellbeing doesn't always require a complete transformation.
Sometimes the most powerful changes are the ones we can actually sustain.
Get Out of Your Head and Into Your Body
There is also a strong invitation now to move energy rather than endlessly analyse it.
When life gets busy, it's easy to disconnect from the body. We think, plan, organise and worry, while overlooking the subtle messages asking us to slow down, move, breathe, rest or simply feel.
At Serenity Space, so much of what we offer is designed to help bridge that gap.
Yoga and Pilates bring awareness back into the physical body. Massage and holistic therapies encourage us to soften and receive. Breathwork, Reiki, Yoga Nidra, meditation and sound can create space for the nervous system to settle.
We don't always need to think our way into feeling better.
Sometimes we need to experience our way back to ourselves.
Begin the New Moon with Sound
This Friday 11 September, 7.30–8.30 pm, James Crossley returns to Serenity Space for his beautiful Gong Sound Bath.
Sound can offer a powerful doorway away from the constant activity of the thinking mind and towards a more meditative state.
Simply lie down, close your eyes, breathe, and allow the vibrations of the gongs, handpan, and other instruments to wash through you.
It feels particularly fitting for this New Moon: an opportunity to release the noise of the week, create some inner space and quietly consider:
What am I ready to leave behind, and what would I like to make room for next?
If you have been feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or simply stuck in your head, Anu Gupta and Edyta Kilinska's upcoming workshop feels perfectly timed.

Or Go One Step Further — Retreat
Sometimes a class, treatment or workshop gives us exactly the reset we need.
And sometimes we need to physically take ourselves away from everyday life.
In just a few weeks, Patricia and Genine Adams will be heading to Northern Ibiza for our intimate Naughty Shorty Pilates Retreat, 5–8 October.
This isn't about packing every minute of the day with activity.
It's about nourishment.
Pilates with Genine. Sunrise yoga with Patricia. Beautiful, healthy food from Chef Valeria. Rest. Sunshine. Conversation. Laughter. Space.
And because we want to co-create the retreat you need, we'll choose together how some of our time unfolds, including whether our night out takes us into Ibiza Town or to the beautiful beachside restaurant, Elements.
Sometimes changing our environment gives us enough distance from our everyday routines to recognise what we actually want to take home with us.
Not another impossible wellness regime.
Perhaps simply a clearer mind, a stronger body, a lighter heart and a renewed appreciation for what makes us feel alive.
Your New Moon Intention
As we move through this New Moon, resist the temptation to make everything perfect.
Instead, choose something meaningful.
Ask yourself:
What does my body need more of?
What is creating unnecessary noise in my life?
Which daily habit genuinely supports my wellbeing?
Where could I replace pressure with presence?
What brings me joy, and am I making enough room for it?
Then choose one small action.
Book the class. Take the walk. Clear the drawer. Have the conversation. Put down the phone. Rest. Dance. Breathe. Book the retreat.
The smallest intentional change can become the beginning of an entirely new rhythm.
At Serenity Space, we're here to hold that space with you, through movement, therapies, sound, workshops, retreats and community.
This New Moon, come back to what is simple.
Come back to what nourishes you.
Come back to your body.
Come back to you.
With New Moon blessings,
Patricia & the Serenity Space Team 🌿
