Genine Adam

Pilates

Genine's  passion for Pilates has developed from a life long interest in exercise as part of a healthy lifestyle. She qualified 20 years ago in the Authentic Classical Pilates method in both mat and equipment training.  Genine spent 6 years at the New York Pilates Studio in North London, the first authentic studio to open in the UK, where she taught many high profile clients. Her attention to detail and getting the best out of her clients was very well received. Following the birth of her first child, Genine developed a special interest in pre and post natal training.  She sees Pilates as the definitive exercise technique, which can be adapted to suit individual needs, working the deep core muscles to correct posture, flattening the stomach, strengthening the back, assisting recovery after an injury and helping to re-balance the body after childbirth.

Genine takes her clients through custom programs built on the integrity of the classical technique, keeping them moving with the proper form to maximize the benefits from each session. Just as importantly, her exuberant personality and creativity keep sessions fun and fresh.

Sarah Black

Yin Yang Yoga | Power flow

Sarah Black.png

Sarah trained with Erin Prichard (200hrs)in Italy 2017, completed 500hrs in Rishikesh, India with Gyan Yog Breath school and is fresh out of graduation from a 300 hrs with Stewart Gilchrist (East London school of Yoga).

Sarah began her yoga journey in 2017, jumping at the chance to stay at an eco-farm in Umbria, Italy. The experience was truly the best of her life and allowed her to be the creator of her own classes and delve more into the eastern magic of philosophy.

Sarah began yoga for physical fitness but quickly learned that philosophy and realisation of the true self whilst being part of a chaotic world were the aspects of the practice that sustain her love and joy for it.

For Sarah, yoga is unification of mind body and breath. It is turning inwards to fine tune the thoughts to what is important. The practice of gratitude helps us accept times of challenge and live on a more even path. It inspires us to respond and react compassionately to inspire a more peaceful world.

Choi believes that we can resist our overstimulated environment through conscious rest, seeing the world through the lens of our loving awareness, compassion, and empathy.

Mindfulness tools interplay in every class helping still the fluctuations of the mind, helping with disassociation disorders, and allowing one to be more present in the unfolding of each moment. Andrew Lees

Power Yoga

Andrew Lees

Andrew stumbled across yoga by chance. While backpacking around the world he booked accommodation in what he later discovered was a yoga retreat – and never looked back.

He has always been a long-distance runner and finds many similarities between yoga and running: the meditative breathing, the internal focus and – in his case at least – the overcoming of challenges you set for yourself rather than competing with someone else. Movement and breath.

Andrew is a Chartered Accountant which he thinks goes some way to explaining his love for precise alignment. “Details matter…”

In each class he aims to achieve two things: a challenged body and a quiet, happy mind. He likes a practice where, when stepping off your mat, your body tells you it’s worked hard, but your mind has been floating on a cloud.

Alex Nathanson

Vinyasa and Beginners Yoga

Alex Nathanson

Alex has played competitive sport his whole life. He was introduced to Yoga in Italy and was fascinated to discover a vigorous physical activity that didn’t involve competition.

Yoga helped him discover the power of synchronising breath and movement and how breath control (pranayama) could powerfully influence one’s mental state. This set him on a Yoga journey exploring the myriad options available in London. Initially drawn to a dynamic Ashtanga based practice, he has subsequently come to see all forms of good Yoga as paths leading to the same goal: a happier, quieter mind. Alex took his teaching training with The Power Yoga Company.

His classes are rooted in the Ashtanga practice of linking victorious breath to flowing movement. There will normally be music: an eclectic playlist that might go a little rogue. There will always be a strong emphasis on breathing mindfully, being in the moment and enjoying our ability to move (however much it may be that day) and then to be still.

Sabina spent time in New York training with the incredibly inspirational teacher Dana Flynn amongst others at the Laughing Lotus Yoga Centre. Maria is a certified face yoga and Gua Sha instructor. She will teach you the art of lifting, sculpting and de-puffing, using a combination of exercise, hands-on techniques, plus Gua sha massage and acupressure. Each workshop will focus on a different area of the face, discovering what processes are responsible for ageing and what can be done to slow down and even reverse these. You will see results immediately and learn practical skills to take with you into your daily life. And the best thing of all - you will find the techniques wonderfully relaxing!
