Postnatal Treatments in SW18

Our postnatal treatments combine Craniosacral and Myofascial therapy to support bones and ligaments through the increased hormones that pregnancy and birth bring.

During pregnancy, many mums experience restrictions and shifting in the pelvis, which can trigger tension in the nervous system. The sooner the pelvis issues, or potential trauma of c-section and/or epidural are released from the body, the easier and quicker the healing process will be.

There are a range of postnatal treatments available, different types of massage are appropriate for different mums. A postpartum massage may involve a range of techniques, from light touch to deeper pinpoint techniques. In addition to physical touch, essential oils may be used in the form of massage oils, lotions or air diffusers, and music may be employed to bring your body to a state of relaxation*.

Our Treatments

Below are some of the pre and postnatal treatments we offer, from our wellness studio in SW18.

  • Prepare the Body: Craniosacral therapy helps to settle both the nervous and hormonal systems. It also supports the body’s physical changes. This postnatal treatment assists mums-to-be along the journey into motherhood, by releasing restrictions in the body and pelvis, to create an optimal birthing experience.

  • Restore your Vitality: This treatment is recommended for those who are suffering from water retention in the later stages of their pregnancy, this can cause weakness in the bladder, abdominal muscles and legs. This treatment combines lymphatic drainage and craniosacral visceral therapy, focusing on the organs that are most affected by the water retention.

  • The Fourth Trimester: This postnatal treatment is designed to relax the sacral bone and lower back. It combines craniosacral and myofascial therapy, to heal birth trauma and to promote optimal health. The postnatal treatment restores emotional balance and pelvic health, and helps alleviate the discomforts of newborn care and mothering.
